Heather + Conrad Engagements

Heather made a road trip from Oregon to be with her fiance Conrad.  They are moving to Portland and getting married in March.  While here in Utah I had the pleasure of shooting there engagement photos.  They said they didn't want the typical "ONE, TWO, THREE, SMILE" kind of engagement shoot.  They wanted something creative, so I ran with it.

Sahar

These images have had vary little done to them in Photoshop. The blurry effect was achieved by shooting through a lens not attach to the camera.  The technique is called "freelensing"  I'm really looking forward shooting more images like this!  The problem is it attracts a lot of dust to your camera's sensor.  A titleshift lens will give you the same effect, but at $2000 I'll deal with a dusty sensor for now.

Jason & Crystal Wedding

I was the first to arrive at The Gardens at Dry Creek for Crystal and Jason's outdoor wedding under dark forbidding clouds.  The forecast was for rain, of course.  I took a few shoots outside and then headed to the bridal room to set up.  As I was heading back out to my car to gather some equipment I was greeted by Crystal's warm smile and patches of sun braking through the clouds as if the nice weather followed her there.  One couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day in the garden.

Dr. Findlay & Son

Dr. Findlay is an awesome Optometrist! www.murrayvisioncenter.com  I had tons of fun shooting with him and his son Mark who kept trying on different frames with on lenses in them.  What a Ham!

Kevin + Kelli

Kelli loves being around water.  She wanted to do a couples session with her boyfriend Kevin near a river, so we headed up Little Cottonwood Canyon. It couldn't have been more then 5 degrees!  At one point they kissed, and for a moment I thought they were stuck that way.  They were tough, and didn't even mention the cold!  We didn't hang out at the river to long and found a warmer spot to shoot in the canyon with some sunshine.
